Sheryl Gyr, MPAS, PA-C is a certified physician assistant who takes a personal and compassionate approach to patient care. Sheryl graduated from the University of Kansas in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She majored in History of Art with an emphasis on High Italian Renaissance art. This field of study took her to Italy and France her junior year, and for a short time after graduation she lived in Florence Italy where she studied the Italian language. Sheryl was a member of the Phi Beta Delta honors society for international scholars all four years at KU.
Sheryl completed her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center in December of 2004. She began her career in the field of dermatology in February of 2005. In addition to her membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, she has also completed the rigorous training to earn the Diplomate status with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Sheryl joined our team at McGuiness Dermatology in October of 2023; she is welcoming new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
