Are Results Permanent?
This is a question we receive a lot when patients inquire about a facelift. While the results are long-lasting, often ranging from 5 to 10 years, they are not permanent. That’s because while a facelift in Plano can reverse or temporarily pause aging, it still can’t stop the hands of time.
But there are ways to prolong your results and maintain a youthful, healthy appearance. This includes at-home care and aesthetic treatments. Here are our suggestions.
At-Home Care
For best results, we recommend incorporating retionol into your nightly skincare routine. Retinol is a topical treatment that exfoliates skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It also stimulates collagen production, a key skin protein that keeps your skin strong and supple. As you age, your body produces less and less collagen, which makes your skin more susceptible to fine lines, wrinkles, and skin sagging.
Nonsurgical Aesthetic Treatments
We also have a range of nonsurgical treatments that can support your facelift results, including:
- Emface Facial Contouring – Known as the nonsurgical facelift in Plano, Emface boosts collagen production using radiofrequency energy and stimulates powerful muscle contractions to improve muscle tone and enhance your natural facial contours.
- Laser Skin Treatments – Laser and light therapy harnesses the power of light to stimulate collagen production and improve hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, skin sagging, and more.
- Microneedling – Creates tiny microscopic wounds in the skin that stimulate your body’s natural healing process by boosting collagen production. Not only does this treatment give you smoother, firmer skin, it also addresses scarring, sunspots, and stretch marks.
Dr. Natalie Barton will offer guidance on which treatments work best to support your skin health. She will also inform you of the appropriate timeline following your facelift for these treatments.
